Ladies and gentlemen. Hold onto your lanyards. Social Relay has just handed your staff the ability to create posts.
I know. I know. Take a breath. Sit down if you need to.
Because letting the whole team loose on the internet unsupervised is how empires fall. It’s how Dave from the warehouse ends up announcing a “massive clearance sale” that is not happening, was never happening, and will now require three phone calls to un-happen. It’s how someone’s cousin filling in for the arvo posts “back soon, gone to get maccas” to four hundred followers who thought you were a serious business. It’s how, somewhere down the track, somebody posts a photo of the staff fridge at 2am captioned “this is fine” and tags the local paper.
Which is why there is now an Approve button. One button. Standing between your staff’s wildest creative impulses and the general public. Think of it as a nightclub bouncer, except instead of checking IDs it checks whether anyone has accidentally declared war on a competitor in the caption.
Picture the scene. David Attenborough, hushed voice, crouched in the long grass. “And here we observe the Manager, in its natural habitat. A post has entered the queue. The Manager does not move. The Manager does not blink. The Manager… reads it twice.” Cut to slow motion. Cut to dramatic orchestral swell. The thumb descends. Approved. The herd may proceed.
Because that’s the real upgrade here. Your staff get to help tell the world about the business — write it, snap it, queue it up — and you get to sit at the top like a one-person Vatican conclave, deciding what goes to the people and what gets quietly burned in the chimney. White smoke means it’s live. Black smoke means someone’s typing “per my last email” into a public caption and needs to be stopped.
So yes. More hands on deck. More voices telling the story. More chances for chaos.
And one button, standing heroically in between, wearing a small cape nobody asked it to wear.
